Steve Rowse Scholarship

Steve Rowse Scholarship

In early 2016 the soccer community lost an amazing man when Doylestown resident Steve Rowse passed away suddenly. Steve had many accomplishments to be proud of including in the world of soccer. Steve played soccer all his life and in soccer conversations there are few who could match his knowledge of, and passion for, the game. Steve was great friends with our u5-u10 DOC Neil Smart, Steve had worked for Neil's Smart Soccer program and the two had just begun a soccer podcast project when Steve passed away.

In looking to give something back to the soccer community Steve's family donated a scholarship and requested that Neil use this to benefit as many young players as possible. So this spring Warrington Soccer Club will benefit from the Steve Rowse scholarship by having extra professional trainers attend our grass roots player development programs at the u5-u10 level, the age groups that Neil runs for our club.

Neil and Warrington Soccer Club would like to thank Bill and Linda Rowse, and Steve's family for the opportunity to help our younger players at Warrington Soccer Club develop their skills and learn that soccer is fun! Steve was all about soccer and fun and would be proud of the legacy he has left with our younger players.

Thank-you Steve!
