Directors of Coaching for 2016-17 Season

Paul Centofanti and Neil Smart have been named Directors of Coaching for Warrington Soccer Club. Centofanti will lead the Club’s u-11 and above both travel and intramural programs and Smart will lead Warrington’s u-10 and below both intramural and travel program.
 
In addition, Tristan Preece has been retained as the Assistant Director of Coaching.
 
Paul Centofanti, is a highly successful youth coach, as a player leading multiple teams to several national championships, national finalists and semifinalists. He currently coaches two Warrington Premier teams including the Warrington Dynamo and the Warrington Lightning. Centofanti holds a USSF A License & USSF National Youth License and is an inductee of the Southeastern PA Soccer Hall of Fame. He has been on the EPYSA’s ODP staff from 1996-1998, 2012 to present. He was a three-year started at LaSalle University, and holds the school record for saves in a season (206).
 
Neil Smart is the owner, operator and director of the Smart Soccer player and coach training program. Over the years, he has coached tens of tens of thousands of local youth players and teams. In fact, the first organized soccer experience many Warrington players have is with the Smart Soccer program. A native of Barrow-in-Furness, in Northwest England, Smart was a youth player with professional English club Everton and semi pro player with Barrow and Harrogate Town in England. He was a player and Captain of Philadelphia Freedom professional team from 1993-1995. He holds USSF and English FA National coaching licenses.
 
Tristan Preece has been a Warrington Soccer Academy trainer and coach for more than four years and is the Club’s Keeper trainer. He holds USSF D, and  NSCAA level one and two goalkeeping diploma. He is an assistant men’s soccer coach at Delaware Valley University, goalkeeper trainer for Professional GK Chase Clement of Philadelphia Fury (2012-Current) and an EPYSA ODP Goalkeeper coach. Preece was a four-year captain of the Delaware Valley University men’s soccer team and a member of the Mercer County Community College 2007 National Final Four Team.

Alan Offenberg has been named as the Club's Travel Coordinator.  Alan has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2015 and has previously served as the travel coordinator with a soccer club in NJ.  In addition, he is the current coach of the 2004 (u12) boys team.  Alan has 2 children currently playing in the travel program for the club. 

“The Board of Directors for the Warrington Soccer Club is thrilled to have these high-level, experienced coaches on board to develop and enhance our coaching staff at both the intramural and travel level,” says Robert Miller, president of the Club’s Board of Directors.  He adds, “As U.S. Soccer implements changes to its youth program, enacting a nationwide adoption of small-sided games and shifting from school-year to calendar year age grouping for teams, the Board is confident that Paul, Neil, Tristan and Alan have the experience to lead our coaches and trainers through this transition and ensure continued success for our youth players.”
