WSC’s Academy Travel program is for players in U8 to U10 age groups. The Academy Travel program is designed for players seeking a more competitive and challenging soccer experience than what is offered by intramural programs. This all-inclusive program allows our younger travel players to participate in focused technical development while still exposing the teams to competitive play. Coaches work alongside the Director of Coaching and Academy Travel Coordinator to strategically place teams in the most suitable leagues and divisions. This ensures that the competition level is appropriate and beneficial for the team's growth. This approach not only fosters technical skill development but also encourages teamwork and resilience, essential qualities for athletes aiming to excel in their sport.

Player and Team Benefits

• Teams compete in ICSL, Acela or EDP Leagues in the Fall.
• Teams compete in (3) local Travel tournaments.  
• Teams participate in winter training and/or a winter indoor league (January – March).
• Teams participate in a Spring league.
• USSF A License & NSCAA Advanced National Diploma - Director of Coaching support.
• Coaching education support program and development objectives.
• Club registration fee of $1600 for the 2026/2027 covers total cost of the program, not including uniform kits. Payment plans are available. 

Requirements

• Head coach will be a qualified coach who will be approved by our Director of Coaching.
• Assistant Coach(s) will be a volunteer position.
• Team Manager will be a volunteer position.
• Tryouts for the team will take place in the Spring each year, usually April to May.
• Teams will practice 2 times per week in the Fall and Spring seasons. Trainings will include technical skills development and game day strategy.
• Teams will play in either ICSL or Rock, Acela or EDP leagues.
• The soccer year runs from August to June. 
• Practices begin in August and Fall league play will start after Labor Day weekend.
